What to expect from our service

Unlike other companies, our consultants are your direct contact from the inception of your project through its energization. Learn more about each step in the process below.

1 Consult

We start with either a sit down, or virtual meeting to go over your energy needs and personalize your project.

We will ask questions regarding your energy bill, like cost and usage. If you are able to access this ahead of time, it will expedite the process. If not, no worries; we’ll walk you through it!

2 Design

We use cutting edge satellite based LIDAR scans to build 3D models of the entire property. This includes the residence, out buildings, and all shade-casting structures (trees, other buildings, etc.).

We then run a sun path program to simulate the exact shading on your property every hour of every day. This generates a high resolution heat map of your property, illuminating the most efficient way to build your system.

3 Permit

We take care of all the permitting for you. This is often the longest part of the project, determined by how busy the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ; e.g., your city or county) is.

Due to the passage of the recent federal spending bill, there is now a rush to permit and install projects before the end of the year. The sooner we can get started, the sooner your permits will be approved!

4 Install

Typically only a one or two day affair, we work with the highest quality installers in the region to build your system.

Your install date(s) will be scheduled as soon as the project permits are approved. We will work with your schedule to minimize impact to your daily life.

5 Inspection

After installation, we notify both the AHJ and your utility company that your project has been installed.

Both parties will come out to your property and separately conduct inspections to ensure the completed work matches the permits and applicable code, giving you additional peace of mind.

6 Energize

After the AHJ and utility inspections are complete, we energize your system. You are now free to enjoy the power of the sun in your home!

From Consult to Energization, we budget 6 - 12 weeks depending on AHJ and utility permit load.
